Sergei Eisenstein

The film belongs to the Soviet school in which the famous 5 levels of Eisenstein assembly are reflected,
from the first shots you can see a metric assembly formed by the water intakes, passing to a tonal
assembly in my opinion, due to which, in my opinion, seeks to place more emphasis on the
conversation and where it is taking place, leaving aside the rhythmic assembly since the cuts are not
made exactly according to the movement of the actors. In later scenes we can notice the influence of
Griffith since they occupy the close up as a means of identification with the character and to show
emotions in addition to different types of planes with different purposes. On the other hand, the total
waste of the invisible edition technique is noticeable since the cuts from shot to take are very evident,
personally I have conflict with the editing style of the Soviet school because I feel it prevents you from
forgetting what you are seeing it's a movie, that everything there is fake; Particularly from this movie,
the way in which they jump from an open to a closed shot, really makes me feel as if I was blinking
and at that moment the subject had approached me.

As for the plot I really liked it, not only for being quite intense but also because it is realistic; I really
enjoyed the scenes being raw since it fills you with a vast feeling of indignation and hopelessness that
I believe were fundamental to understanding the backstory; For my part, I like the idea of Soviet
cinema of wanting to make people think beyond established systems and not because a regime
establishes something, this means that it is correct. I know that this is a classic of the Soviet school,
however I would like to see a current version of this movie with all the magical atmosphere that can
be done today and I think that in particular this movie could suit a bit of invisible editing , although
probably some movie buff wants to shoot me for saying such a thing but I consider that this story can
be told in a more powerful way than a few years ago and that many films like these are also needed
since today's society is deeply alienated in everyday gait
