one’s clothing and I feel like socks ruin my outfits by being hideous so
recently I’ve grown really fond of the “No-Show” socks, hahhaah just so
that I can flex my kicks around as I am an avid sneaker enthusiast.
Our outfits play a very significant role in our lives with year being 2019
now where we put up everything on IG and twitter and always aim to
loook good pinning our posts with a hashtag OOTD seems to be an
important ritual as taking a shower and brushing your teeth is.
Clothes we wear can not only have an impact on the our appearance
but also our health. While we pay attention to changing our tops and
bottoms and undergarments reguarly but we often forget about our
socks. How cool they should be? How freuently they should be
changed? What type of sock to wear with respect to the outfit. Socks
dude! They are the protector of our feet, absorber of our sweat and
socks are hip.
So, let’s talk about socks and foot hygiene. Socks are first in line when it
comes to foot care. A footcare routine is essential to keep your feet
feeling and looking their best and as we age, our feet change and may
need more attention than before and who wants smelly feet? I clearly
do not. Smelly feet can be unpleasant for everybody and they can cause
serious embarrassment. So it’s important for us to keep our feet dry by
not wearing wet socks or to have them changed when they have gotten
wet after a workout or after whole day’s sweat and not wear a same
pair for longer periods of time because many bacteria and fungi thrive
in warm, moist environments.
Wearing the right socks for the right activity can go a long way towards
foot health and socks with wicking properties are great for preventing
blisters and infections in the summer heat and humidity.
The material your socks are made of can also determine how many
bacteria live on them. While cotton and light coloured socks may
contain fewer bacteria, dark and synthetic material socks are a perfect
breeding ground for them.
The bacteria will not only cause a foul smell but can also adversely
affect your health. The high levels of bacteria growth on the feet can
keep the skin cells from regenerating and repairing the skin tissues of
your feet. The bacteria thriving on your dirty, sweat-filled socks may
cause enzymes and nutrients in your body to degenerate, causing
irritation and infections. If you already have cuts, bruises or any kind of
infection on your skin, you should be even more careful.
