BOUCLE 4-20mA
3 programmable “user settings” per range
The GIV is a portable generator, used to generate standard signals (4-20 mA / 0-20 mA loop or 0-10
VDC) for field-testing and calibration of measuring systems (transmitter, digital panel meter,
controller, relays, valves and so on).
The GIV is able to generate these signals and can also be used as a 2-wire transmitter: in that case,
it makes the current varies and enables test continuity and reception of 4-20 mA signals.
The GIV is programmable with a user-friendly design. Fixed set points: 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and
100% makes easier zero and span adjustments and linearity tests on current loops. Pushbuttons on
keyboard can provide a continuous adjustment of the signals and extend the range up to 110% to
check threshold or loop simulation behaviour.
A memory setting of 3 values makes this system quicker and easier to use.
The GIV can also measure a current up to 23.5 mA DC, providing a full-scale diagnostic feature.
The GIV is a simple, comprehensive system, ideal for test and calibration of measuring loops.
The equipment bears the CE mark, in accordance with directive 89 336/CEE – electromagnetic
compatibility. This system meets the following standards: EN50081-2 et EN50082-2.
Complementary tests have been carried out as per other standards. Please call our technical
team for further information.
