Semi-detailed Lesson Plan

In
Grade 12 – Empowerment Technology

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
 compare and contrast the differences between web 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0,
 share insights about the importance of ICT in our everyday lives,
 demonstrate the features of web 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0.

II. Subject Matter


Reference: Empowerment Technologies Student Reader First Edition 2016, Joel C. Yuvienco,
pages 4-9
Materials: monitor, powerpoint presentation

III. Learning Activities


A. Daily Routine
- Prayer
- Checking Of Attendance
- Classroom Management
B. Motivation
The class will be divided into 3 groups and will be playing pass the message. Each group will
receive the message that will pass onto the last person in the group. This person will write the message in a
¼ sheet of paper then cite the message they have received in front. The first group who will complete the
task will get an additional 5 points in their recitation.
After the activity, the teacher will ask the following questions:
1. Aside from passing the message, what did you observe based on the activity we performed?
2. Is there any communication happen between you and your classmates?

C. Discussion
The following questions are to be tackled during the discussion.
1. What are the differences among web 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0?
2. What are the trends in ICT?

D. Generalization
The students will answer the following questions.
1. What are the differences among web 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0?
- The difference among web 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 is that web 1.0 is mostly read-only, while web
2.0 is wildly read – only and web 3.0 is portable and personal.
2. What are the trends in ICT?
- There are 4 trends in ICT and those are Convergence, Social Media, Mobile technologies
and Assistive Media.

E. Valuing
The teacher will ask the following question.
1. What is the importance of ICT in our everyday lives?

F. Application
The class will be divided into 3 groups and each group will choose one representative.
Representatives from each group will demonstrate the features of each web. The first group who will complete
the task will be given an additional 10 points to their class participation.

IV. Assessment
Each group will write the use of different trends of ICT and its advantage in a one whole sheet of paper.

V. Assignment
In a whole sheet of paper, students will give their reflection based on content given via this link:
