ABSTRACT
This is an author guidelines and article template of Jurnal Rekayasa Proses. Article should be
started by Title of Article followed by Authors Name and Affiliation Address and abstract. This
abstract section should be typed in font size of 11 pt and number of words of 150-300. English abstract
should be written in italic. The single spacing should be used between lines in this article. The abstract
should be typed in Indonesian and English. The abstract should be typed as concise as possible and
should be composed of: problem statement, method, scientific finding results, and short conclusion.
The abstract should only be typed in one paragraph and one-column format.

Write the abstract of the manuscript in Bahasa Indonesia if it is possible. If it is not possible, we
can provide it.

1. Introduction (Times New Roman Bold 12 pt)

Introduction should be written in in a good and grammatically checked English (can be US or UK
English but not combination of both). Please use Times New Roman of 11 pt font size (Abram and
Prausnitz, 1975). Author must provide an adequate background, avoiding a detailed literature survey
or a summary of the results (Calvar dkk., 2010). In the last paragraph, author must state the objectives
of the work clearly (Strunk Jr, 1979). References must be cited in e.g. (Wang dkk., 2007), in which
applying the reference manager is recommended.

2. Research Methodology (Bold 12 pt)

Methodology could comprise: (i) Materials; (ii) Research procedures; (iii) Instrument and data
analysis; (iv) Modelling. Each part of methodology is indicated by Arabic numbering like the
following.

2.1 Materials (Times New Roman Bold 11 pt)

Materials used in the research can be written as separated subheading. Please provide details of
manufacture and purity of materials e.g. Fe(NO3)3.9H2O (99% purity Merck, Germany) was employed
as iron oxide precursor
 2.2 Procedures
Research procedures is written in this part.

3. Results and Discussion (Times New Roman Bold 12 pt)

Results and discussion contain findings of research and their discussion. All findings mus be
supported by sufficient data. This part must answer hypothesis of the research stated in the
Introduction. Results can be presented as figure (e.g. Figure 1) or as table (e.g. Table 1). Figure and
table must be supported by caption.

Providing high resolution of figure is important to ensure good quality of manuscript. Here are
some format options of high resolution of images: i) EPS, EMF (or PDF) with graphical vector, ii)
TIFF (or JPEG): color or grayscale of 300 dpi minimal quality. Do not provide figures with a low-
resolution format like GIF, BMP and WPG. If you use Excel to construct your graph, please provide
embedded excel plot in the main text (do not use special paste in format: JPG, BMP, WPG, GIF)

4. Conclusions (Times New Roman Bold 12 pt)

This section should emphasize the major interpretations and conclusions of the paper as well as
their significance. Conclusion must correspond to the objective of the research.

Notation
If there are so many variables used, list of notations must be written in here. All variable is in
italic. For example:
CA = concentration of adsorbate in liquid phase, mg/L
CAs = concentration of adsorbate in the surface of solid, mg/L
C/Co = relative concentration of adsorbate to the initial concentration, -
DL = coefficient of axial diffusivity, m2/s
… etc.

Acknowledgements
In this section the authors can dedicate the article to a scientist of outstanding merit or
acknowledge financial support, technical assistance and other contributions or advice from persons
who are not coauthors. The grant number of financial supports must be provided.

References
Reference is listed in alphabetical order. References must be up to date. It is recommended for
example total reference is minimum of 15 and up to date references (10 years old) is 10. Applying
Reference Manager like Mendeley dan EndNote is strongly recommended.

ABSTRAK
Petunjuk ini merupakan template manuskrip/artikel yang digunakan pada artikel yang diterbitkan
di Jurnal Rekayasa Proses. Artikel diawali dengan Judul Artikel, Nama Penulis, Alamat Afiliasi
Penulis, diikuti dengan abstrak yang ditulis dengan huruf miring (Italic) sepanjang 150-300 kata.
Abstrak ditulis dengan huruf miring jika berbahasa Inggris. Teks abstrak ditulis dengan ukuran font 11
pt dan jenis huruf Times New Roman serta jarak antar baris satu spasi. Abstrak harus ditulis dalam
bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Inggris yang baik dan benar. Abstrak untuk masing-masing bahasa hanya
boleh dituliskan dalam satu paragraf saja dengan format satu kolom.

2. Pendahuluan (Times New Roman Bold 12 pt)

Pendahuluan ditulis dengan font Times New Roman ukuran 11 pt (Abram dan Prausnitz, 1975).
Pendahuluan harus berisi (secara berurutan) latar belakang umum, kajian literatur terdahulu (state of
the art) sebagai dasar pernyataan kebaruan ilmiah dari artikel, pernyataan kebaruan ilmiah, dan
permasalahan penelitian atau hipotesis (Calvar dkk., 2010). Di bagian akhir pendahuluan harus
dituliskan tujuan kajian artikel tersebut (Strunk Jr, 1979). Di dalam format artikel ilmiah tidak
diperkenankan adanya tinjauan pustaka sebagaimana di laporan penelitian, tetapi diwujudkan dalam
bentuk kajian literatur terdahulu (state of the art) untuk menunjukkan kebaruan ilmiah artikel (Wang
dkk., 2007).
2. Metode Penelitian (Bold 12 pt)
Metode penelitian pada naskah artikel penelitian bahan material (disertai penjelasan seperlunya),
instrument penelitian, cara pengambilan sampel dan metode yang digunakan dalam pemecahan
permasalahan termasuk metode analisis. Subheading dalam bentuk penomoran arab.

2.1 Bahan Penelitian

Jika diperlukan, bahan penelitian dituliskan terpisah disertai penjelasan singkat fungsi penggunaan
dari material yang digunakan.

2.2 Cara Penelitian

Pelaksanaan penelitian dapat dituliskan di bagian ini. Metode penelitian ditulis dengan font Times
New Roman ukuran 11 pt.

3. Hasil dan Pembahasan (Bold 12 pt)

Hasil dan pembahasan berisi hasil-hasil temuan penelitian dan pembahasannya. Tuliskan temuan-
temuan yang diperoleh dari hasil-hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dan harus ditunjang oleh data-
data yang memadai. Hasil-hasil penelitian dan temuan harus bisa menjawab pertanyaan atau hipotesis
penelitian di bagian pendahuluan. Hasil dan Pembahasan ditulis dengan font Times New Roman
ukuran 11 pt. Hasil penelitan dapat ditunjukkan dalam bentuk gambar (misal Gambar 1) ataupun
dalam bentuk tabel data (Tabel 1). Harap sertakan caption yang jelas.

Untuk kualitas yang baik dalam tampilan naskah, gambar sebaiknya memiliki resolusi yang tinggi.
Berikut beberapa pilihan format gambar yang memiliki resolusi yang baik, i) EPS, EMF (or PDF)
yang berupa vektor grafik, ii) TIFF (atau JPEG): foto warna ataupun grayscale minimal 300 dpi.
Jangan menyertakan gambar dalam kualitas rendah seperti GIF, BMP dan WPG.

4. Kesimpulan (Bold 12 pt)

Ditulis dengan font Times New Roman ukuran 11 pt. Kesimpulan menggambarkan jawaban dari
hipotesis dan/atau tujuan penelitian atau temuan yang diperoleh. Kesimpulan bukan berisi perulangan
dari hasil dan pembahasan, tetapi lebih kepada ringkasan hasil temuan seperti yang diharapkan di
tujuan atau hipotesis. Saran menyajikan hal-hal yang akan dilakukan terkait dengan gagasan
selanjutnya dari penelitian tersebut.

Daftar Notasi
Jika variabel yang digunakan dalam naskah cukup banyak, notasi dapat dituliskan di bagian ini
dengan format misalnya sebagai berikut. Variable ditulis miring.
CA = kadar adsorbat setiap saat, mg/L
CAs = kadar adsorbat pada permukaan padatan, mg/L
C/Co = konsentrasi relatif adsorbat terhadap konsentrasi umpan masuk
DL = koefisien difusivitas aksial cairan di dalam bed, m2/s
… dst.

Pada bagian ini penulis menyampaikan ucapan terima kasih misalnya kepada pihak yang
memberikan dana untuk penelitian, pihak yang memberikan bahan secara cuma-cuma, dan pihak yang
memberikan masukan kepada penulis terkait penulisan artikel. Jika merupakan dana penelitian, no
kontrak penelitian perlu disertakan. Ucapan terima kasih tidak diberikan kepada pihak yang
merupakan bagian penulis dari makalah (authors).

Daftar Pustaka
Daftar pustaka diurutkan sesuai abjad. Metode penulisan yang digunakan yaitu tipe Harvard.
Daftar pustaka sebaiknya up to date (unsur kekinian) yang diterbitkan dalam 10 tahun terakhir dan
jumlahnya disarankan lebih dari 15 buah untuk tiap artikel. Penggunaan referensi manager seperti
Mendeley dan EndNote sangat dianjurkan.
