ABSTRACT

Title: AN ANALYSIS ON THE ADVERSE EFFECT AND CONSEQUENCES

OF CIGARETTE SMOKING

Year Completed: October 2019

This study aimed to gain insight into the impact of cigarette smoking on

the health of every user specifically the students Northern Cebu Colleges Inc.

and few community smokers around Bogo City. It uses both the Quantitative

and Qualitative type of method in gathering the data and information needed

for the analysis of the result. The questionnaire was disseminated via face-to-

face survey.

There were 60 respondents, were grouped as the college students of

Northern Cebu Colleges Inc. and few community smokers of Bogo City.

Respondents groups perception on the adverse effect and consequences of

cigarette smoking were collected. It also determined the relationship among

the negative effects and consequences encountered by the respondents.

Findings of the study revealed the perception of the students and few

community persons who uses cigarette. The results indicated the excessive

use of cigarette. The users are highly dependent to cigarette smoking

therefore, cigarette smoking indeed has a big effect to the health of the user.
