Poova: Good morning teachers and students, I am Poovarasy, and it’s

an honor to be here with Lourdes together as the chair

Lourdes: Today we proudly present our first Student Congress. The

theme of the year for the school is Salt of the Earth

Poova: The students are given a chance to be an agent of change.The

respective delegates have presented their ideas to transform SFMS in
their classes. These delegates have been chosen by class votes based
on their delivery and context.

Lourdes: Without further a due. Let me present the delegates in order of

their presentation. All of the respective delegates have chosen their
topic. The delegates are as following:
 PU1G1
 PU1G2
 PU1A1 EALD
 PU2A1 ENG
 PU2A1 EALD

Poova: There will be few rules to be followed by the delegates and the
audience.
 The chair fixes a debate time of 5 minutes and 3 minutes will be
given to the floor for question and answer.
 There will be a voting procedure at the end of the congress
 Clapping is not in order while the congress is in progress, except
at the end of the event
 No mobile phones are allowed.

Lourdes: Let’s officially begin our first Student Congress. The chair calls
upon the delegate of PU1G1 to read the resolution to the House. (upon
