Original Production Musical Ideas:

1) –cast members play their own instruments

-probably set in a 50’s retro diner/80’s rock&roll diner
-fundraiser to keep the diner open
-broken retro jukebox- music in the joint was the only thing keeping it running
-like love actually, all different stories coming to one spot
-one revolving character- the female bartender
-other characters:
-a boyfriend and girlfriend out on a date- run into relationship problems
-a photographer covering the fundraiser for the paper
-a mechanic to fix the jukebox
- a regular customer

2) –Characters June, Duke and the Box Band are the source of the music from inside a Jukebox
- original 1940’s Wurlitzer 1015 vinyl jukebox
-set through a bunch of different eras- 1940’s- 2000’s
-struggle of the jukebox becoming less and less popular, being flushed out by radios and the
internet, and slowly fading away and dying
