APPLICATION OF LIQUID MEMBRANE ELECTRODE

1.The Cu2+ selective and Ni2+ selective liquid membrane electrode uesd for
determination of Cu2+ions (CuSO4) and Ni2+ ions (Ni(NO3)2) in industrial
by direct potentiometery.(follwed the research paper)

2.Calcium selective liquid membrane electrode used for determination of

calcium ion bcz the Ca2+ ion is useful in physiological process such as
bone formation.
3.Calcium Selective Membrane electrode is also used for calcium
ion determination in whole blood as compared to plasma.

4.Liuid Membrane electrode using nicotine is used for the determination of

nicotine it gives better performance than solid membrane electrode it is
more rapid reproducible and selective.It is based on anion
exchangere(trimethylcetylammonium).

5. Liquid Membrane electrode used to determine vitamin B1 in food .This is

also done by Hplc but it consume more time and using electrode it is simple
and rapid determination.
