Scooters will cost significantly less than a car, which even includes scooters that can hit highway

traffic speeds. The average rate for a four-door sedan now is $and a scooter has an average price
of about $3. Each of these motor vehicles can be found for a lot less or a lot more but either way
we notice that there is a huge difference in the pricing and scooters are a lot cheaper. Not only is
the scooter cheaper but also the maintenance, insurance, and gas is much cheaper than a car!
Going with a scooter will definitely save you a pretty penny.

Scooters! Scooters are way more fun to ride than a car! Think about the wind running through
your face or getting underneath your helmet. Scooters offer you a more interactive experience
with the road and get to be different from everyone else on the road.

Scooters are a great economical option! They’re fun, unique, and can save you tons of time and
money. Each of these categories is important to keep in mind when making your decisions on
whether you want a scooter. But overall the scooter wins between them. We hope this helped you
make a clear decision to go with the scooter! Happy riding!
I always rent a scooter and never had any issues. As above, before you rent make sure the
owner inspects the bike with you and make note or take photos of any existing
damage/scratches. This is just my opinion and others will disagree, but within a busy town
like Patong I think a bike is a much better option than a car. They are much easier to
manouvre, park etc and are much cheaper (around 180baht per day). However, I have been a
rider of big bikes back home for years so I'm a confident rider, but if you have little or no
experience with bikes Phuket is not a good place to learn.

The travel insurance issue is a good point. Some policies only cover up to a maximum cc
capacity. For example my travel insurance only covers me for bikes of up to 150cc, fine for
scooters but not for big bikes.
It's very easy to navigate around the island and the major roads are well marked out. If staying
in Patong also be aware of the one-way system.
