SUMMARY OF CRY FREEDOM (Chapters 15-16-17-18)

SUMMARY CHAPTER 15:

SUMMARY CHAPTER 16:

Woods in his failed attempt to cross the river, looked for Tami, friend of Biko, who
could help him. Indeed she did, taking him in her car near the Telle Bridge after
having had doubts at first.

Woods said goodbye saying, "Someday, when things have changed, I will come
back and have beer together, Tami."

Then, after walking, he was approached by a man named Moises, in a Land Rover,
a man from the Lesotho postal service, who kept him company in the passport office.

And after spending an awkward moment with the officer on duty, he finally got into
the Moises car, crossed the bridge, the border and Woods entered Lesotho.

Very happy, he finished dancing and saying 'Oh God, oh God, I'm here! I'm here!
On the other hand, Wendy, Woods 'wife, was on her way to Umtata with her children,
who had stayed with her husband to be at that place to meet and finally go to England
together.'

SUMMARY CHAPTER 17:

The road is almost finished, Wood meet Bruce through the help of Moses who still
thinks that Wood is a priest. They continued to Maseru, where Wood had the chance
to talk to the British acting High Commissioner.

He asked helm for help to enter their country. The next morning, Wood met his family
after they also escaped from the country but in a different path. The United Nation
helped them to gain passports and helped them to fly by a privet plane and pilot.
Even though they are happy to be unharmed during this adventure, Wood felt sad
as he looked at the window. He might not see his country again.
