Burger Fi Review

_____By: Drew Crossett_____

Among the bustling businesses and sights of Broadway,

sits a burger chain that is a combination of good food and
an even better atmosphere. 460 Broadway, Saratoga
Springs New York is home to 1 of the 79 Burger Fi
locations in the US. I went there last week with a couple
of friends. I came with high expectations and left with
half of those met. Let’s first talk about the atmosphere.
When I walked in I felt I was walking into the future.
Steel clashed with wood in eye-catching ways. It has a
nice open layout and has tables for various group sizes.
The pictures of burgers and the cleanliness of the place
really gave off that elevated chain restaurant vibe. Some
minor negatives was that the music was a little too loud
and half of the TVs were stuck on an unavailable channel.
But overall the atmosphere was the best part of the
restaurant. The service excelled in some places, but
lacked in others. What I was really impressed by was the
wait time. We ordered a burger and fries and we waited
only 4 minutes. The employees and the drinks were
another story. The employee looked like he didn’t want to
be there and he spoke in a monotone voice. He forgot our
drinks and we had to go back up to the counter and ask
for the cups. The drink machine was out of the drink I
desired and on top of that, it was very unresponsive. Now
for the most important part, the food. My friend came
back from the counter with an unappetizing looking tray
of food. The fries were everywhere on the tray hiding the
burger, and overflowing the ugly container it was put in.
The container was made out of an egg carton material
which did not reflect the good taste of the fries. The
burger on the other hand was flavorful and cooked
beautifully. The “Burger Fi” stamped into the bun made
up for the failed aesthetic of the fry presentation. Overall
the food was good and very fresh but the presentation
lacked finesse. When the experience was coming to a
close, we got the receipt. It was more of a blank slip of
paper. But when we looked closer we could just make out
extremely faded letters and numbers, probably due to the
lack of ink in the receipt machine. From what we could
make out the total price was $26.16. Even though the
restaurant is located in the heart of Broadway it is still
pretty expensive for a chain. Burger Fi is one of the best
tasting burger chains in the US. The excellent food mostly
makes up for the impurities. I give the Burger Fi Saratoga
Springs location 3.5/5 stars.
