Introduction:
I wrote this film report aims to review what I saw and can be in the columbus circle film so that it
can be a reference for the thriller genre enthusiasts to find out reviews about the film.
Body :
I recently saw “Columbus Circle” and was very tense with the movie. It is a thriller movie that
depicts what happens when a women an heiress who has shut herself inside her Columbus Circle
apartment for 20 years and she is forced to confront her fears after one of her neighbors is killed
and a detective arrives to begin the investigation.
On her 18th birthday, Abigail Clayton (Selma Blair) received a staggering inheritance from her
late father, an affluent industrialist. That same day, Abigail also escaped the probing lenses of the
paparazzi by sealing herself away from the world in her massive loft. Nearly twenty years later,
the only people Abigail interacts with are Klandermann (Kevin Pollak) the Concierge, and Dr.
Raymond Fontaine (Beau Bridges), a trusted family friend. One day, Abigail's elderly neighbor
dies under mysterious circumstances, and Homicide Detective Frank Giardello (Giovanni Ribisi)
comes knocking on Abigail's door looking for answers.from the incident there were some
irregularities that began to occur, a pair of lovers Charlie (Jason Lee) and Lillian (Amy Smart)
who had just moved in front of the abigail apartment room often had quarrels. Shortly thereafter,
Abigail spies Charlie (Jason Lee) and Lillian (Amy Smart) moving into the apartment. In the weeks
that follow, Abigail begins religiously using her peephole to scrutinize her new neighbors' every
move. But he could not help and left his room because of his childhood trauma. One time Abigail
met Charlie and Lillian in person because of a big fight that happened right in front of him. Abigail
took Lilian to her room to help her. Many things happened between Abigail and Lilian that made
the two of them very close to become friends. Abigail began to open with lilian and talk a lot about
him, but it turns out lilian had a plan behind her. Charlie and Lilian actually spied Abigail's eyes
to get his fortune. They began to carry out the plan so that Abigail could come out of her room and
steal all of Abigail's data.
Abigail's personal data is used to close his bank account so that the money can be disbursed, all
plans have been well designed by Charlie and Lilian, they use various methods to carry out his
plans. until finally Charlie and Lilian do their last task by pretending to fight again until Lilian
dares to shoot Charlie, who might be able to outwit Abigail to open his mobile banking application
so that Lilian knows the password, but it turns out before their plans succeed Charlie makes Abigail
afraid of His trauma was eventually killed by Abigail as a sense of self-protection. Then Lilian
continues to carry out her plan by thinking of one wealth for him because of Charlie, who really
died.
Abigail finds out that Lillian is trying to take her money and she calls the press to tell them that
Justine Waters will be at the bank. Lillian is there dressed and wearing a wig pretending that she
is Justine. When Abigail shows up, Lillian realises that she has been had. The cops take her away
and Abigail sets off on holiday assuming Lillian's identity. Somehow, Abigail has gotten over her
fear of going outside and now, she is free.
Conclution :
The conclusion from this movie is after viewing this, I found it to be a surprisingly good and
watchable film with a good story, good acting and good directing. This was an original story
which had a good denouement he premise was interesting a murder takes place in the room
opposite from a woman with Agoraphobia and hasn't left her apartment in 11 years and from
then on the direction of the film follows around this character. very satisfying. I suppose that
there was not enough sex and violence in this production to serve the prurient tastes of the mass
audience.
