New Delhi Subject: VRS to BSNL employees vis-a-vis clarity on Perision related matters. Respected Sir, The DOT letter No.-30-04-/2019-PSU affairs has issued orders for grant of VRS to DOT employees absorbed in BSNL and other category of staff. The contents incorporated in items 2(IV) and 2(V) are not clear and creating genuine apprehensions and doubts amongst the absorbees. These are as below. (1) Pension revision:- |t is not mentioned how the Pension Revision of VRS optees will be regulated. There is apprehension that such category of retirees, will be treated separately and their pension revision will not be done along with the earlier retirees. This will be unfair and unjustified. It should be urgently spelt out that the pension of VRS optees will be revised alongwith earlier retirees and no different treatment be extended (2) Pension _Commut It is not clearly spelt out how the period of commutation will be counted and what rule will be adopted to determine the commutation value. Separate treatment should not be meted out. (3) The statutory provisions of Rules of gratuity and commutation in Pension tules are not modified. Therefore it needs clarification as these are deferred We shall feel obliged in case the points referred above are clarified at the earliest.
