Introduction

The current communication technologies allow to favor the globalization of markets

and the dissemination of products and services worldwide.

The use of these information dissemination technologies allows the different types of companies,

small or medium-sized companies, to disclose their products and services.

The internet and audiovisual media, not only allow people to approach, but also indirectly with

the end user, which allows a more direct business relationship than what is occasionally a closed

loop of improvement.

The feedback produced by these media, generates continuous improvement and

constant evolution of products and services offered in the market, so that the opinions of

consumers are integrated, leading to a new or better development on current products.

This report is an analysis of how technological factors affect not only markets but the

consumer economy. The cultural and social factors of the different consuming populations

generate an environment of constant transformation that allows the birth of companies that since

its inception are already characterized by globalizing through these technological means.

Evidencia 2: Workshop “Products and services”

consulte el material complementario denominado Integration of products and services.

1. Find the main idea of paragraphs 1, 2, 9, 10, 11, and 12, and write them in a paragraph.

2. Write a summary of ten lines from the text.

3. Choose a paragraph and translate it with your own words.

4. Choose ten words from the text and organize them alphabetically. Look for the meaning

of each word.

5. Match the term with the corresponding meaning.

Integration of products and services.

 Main idea of paragraphs 1, 2, 9, 10, 11, and 12, and write them in a paragraph

Mainly the idea of paragraphs 1, 2, 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the reading Integration of

products and services, is based on teaching us the importance of the new economy knowing in

one way or another the innovation and productivity of the products and services in the market,

obtaining favorable results with the new cultural and digital trends for the globalization that is

lived in business, thus adapting the needs of consumers.

 Summary of the text Integration of products and services.

The modern economy is composed of three factors that make up for the new digital

trends for the globalization of business. Primarily the digital revolution has been increased

thanks to the reach, comfort and agility that companies have to transform and progress being this

their first factor. In the second factor we find the international competition including all its

leaders to continue innovating new services and producer for the satisfaction of consumers. And

it could not miss the third factor that are the cultural and sculptural novelties since they are

combining the social and the economics of each country. Thanks to these mixed factors, more

employment opportunities are being generated, since it guarantees a higher level in the economy

thus encompassing digital media, without leaving their roots behind with more profitable

profitability for business.

Technological Revolution

The internet and digital communications are general purpose technologies, transforming

economies as profoundly as the printing press, steam engine or electricity have done in the past.

Against this backdrop, it is important to understand that there is no such thing as a ‘digital

economy’ – the economy is digital. Far from being the exclusive domain of technology startups,

every company, particularly in traditional industries, needs to prepare for digitization. Yet, on

balance, European companies have been slow to adapt: 41% of enterprises are still classifiable as

‘non-digital’ – meaning they do not use digital technologies and have no digital strategy – while

only 2% take full advantage of digital opportunities.

The slow adoption and use of digital technologies has been a drag on Europe’s

productivity growth, not to mention its ability to innovate and move up the global value chain.

And it has impacted manufacturing and services alike, particularly the integrated, high value-

added segment. But the EU is starting to address this challenge: completing the Digital Single

Market will incentivise technology adoption through higher network effects, while prioritising

areas where competitive advantages can still be reaped, such as Industry 4.0. At the same time,

formulating a unified data framework for a market of half a billion consumers can set a global

standard, provided it is user-friendly and workable. Speed of delivery and implementation is of

utmost importance if Europe is to regain lost ground, and the high-end nexus of integrated

manufacturing and services is of particular importance for future growth, sustained innovation

and quality jobs.

8
