EKONOMI INDONESIA 2017 TUMBUH 5,07 PERSEN,

TERTINGGI SEJAK TAHUN 2014

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reports that gross domestic product (GDP) or
Indonesia's economic growth in 2017 reached 5.07 percent. This figure, according to BPS, is
the highest rate of economic growth since 2014. BPS head Suhariyanto said the economic
growth rate in 2017 was lower than the target set in the State Budget (APBN), which was 5.2
percent. However, he is optimistic that Indonesia's economy in the future can grow higher. "It
is still below the target of 5.2 percent, but this figure is quite good. We expect an increase in
further economic growth, so that it can improve the welfare of the people," Suhariyanto said
at a press conference in Jakarta, Monday (5/2 / 2018).

Suhariyanto said, Indonesia's economic growth in 2017 was the highest number since 2014.
As information, Indonesia's economic growth in 2014 was 5.01 percent, in 2015 it was 4.88
percent, and in 2016 it was 5.03 percent. Also read: BI: Indonesia's Economic Growth of 5.1
Percent in 2017 "This means that the results of infrastructure development have begun to
roll," said Suhariyanto. He said, the source of Indonesia's economic growth in 2017 was the
manufacturing industry, which is 0.91 percent. In addition, followed by the construction
sector by 0.67 percent, trade 0.59 percent, and agriculture 0.49 percent. "The source of
growth in the last 3 years is from the manufacturing industry. If it can increase growth in the
industry, the impact can be large, because it absorbs a lot of labor and has a huge
contribution," Suhariyanto said.
