Description
The FGPMMOPA1 is a GPS receiver module which providing a best solution to
have high sensitivity and tracking performance also with high position and speed
accuracy in urban conditions. FGPMMOPA1 uses the GPS solution which chipsets
are designed by the world's leading digital media IC solution provider MediaTek
Inc,. FGPMMOPA1 can support up to 32 channels satellite searching. Even at high
speed vehicle movement, FGPMMOPA1 has special function to provide maximum
update rate 5Hz to give customers more precise position fix and vehicle velocity. It
delivers major advancements in GPS performances, accuracy, integration,
computing power and flexibility. It is designed to suitable for embedded system
integration and simplifies the design procedure by SmartAntenna structure.
FGPMMOPA1 module is the best choice for you to design for GPS related products.

Description of I/O Pin
TTL-TX (Pin1)
This is the UART transmitter of the module. It outputs the GPS information for
application.
GND (Pin2)
The analog ground and digital ground is for the module.
TTL-RX (Pin3)
This is the UART receiver of the module. It is used to receive software commands
and firmware update.
RS232-RX (Pin4)
This is the RS232 receiver of the module. It is used to receive software commands
and firmware update.
RS232-TX (Pin5)
This is the RS232 transmitter of the module. It outputs the GPS information for
application.
VCC (Pin6)
The main DC power supply.
