(Requirements)
Only a citizen or a permanent resident of Malaysia can qualify for
registration as a Professional Engineer.
4. Have been residing in Malaysia for a period of not less than six
months immediately the
date of application.

The Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is a
statutory body constituted under the
Engineers Act (1967). BEM falls within the
ambit of responsibility of the Minister of
Works
The Board is established for the purpose of
regulating the professional conduct and
practice of registered engineers in order to
safeguard the safety and the interest of the
public
