EXPERIMENT : 1

 AIM :
To see difference in brightness and briskness in different qualities of
coffee.

 MATERIALS REQUIRED :
1. Coffee
2. Beaker
3. Four conical flasks
4. Funnel777
5. Filter papers
6. Heating arrangement
 PRINCIPLE :

Between two samples of coffee in boiling water, the sample showing a


more bright cupric colour has got superior brightness and briskness.
 PROCEDURE :
The step by step procedure for the experiment is as follows :

1. Boil 400 ml water in a beaker and pour 100 ml in each conical


flask.
2. Take equal amount of four bags of coffee and place one each in
each of the flask. After 4 minutes remove the squeezed bags
and let the flasks to cool.

After 4 minutes the bags were squeezed and removed and the
conical flasks were allowed to cool.

 OBSERVATION:

The brightness of cupric colour in the flask is maximum for sample A


and less for B.
 RESULT :

Coffee having better flavour formed a bright cupric colour in hot


water.
