The UNESCO Chair has, since February 2019, rolled out two research seminar series
focusing on generating robust debates on ODL issues.
To close off the year we have invited colleagues from Unisa’s School of Business
Leadership and Microsoft to share insights from their research.

Previously at the UNISA KZN Region (Head: Facilitation of Learning)

Mr. Andre Marrian: (SBL ICT and Logistics Deputy Director) - BSc,
HDE, PEC, MBL
Lectured at the Rand College of Education and Vista University and
taught high school mathematics and science. Currently working at
Unisa Graduate School of Business leadership for more than 20
years and ICT and Logistics Deputy Director managing and
overseeing ICT and Logistics portfolios
Experience in programming, systems design, process mapping,
database management, ERPS, VLEs and business management
functions in education (Strategy development operational plan
development, risk management, etc.)
Recent interests and hobbies include Python programming, Big Data
management, AI development, robotics and electronics.

Mr. Carl Ohlhoff: Digital Advisor, Microsoft Consulting Services


(BComm)
Experience in facilitating and leading organisations through the
Digital Transformation as an onset of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
4IR presents opportunity or disruption and how organisations adapt
and prepare for this has a significant impact on people. I am
passionate about Education and the opportunity it presents to shape
and influence the leaders of tomorrow.
More than 20 years business and ICT experience across various
industries, Education, Manufacturing, Financial Services, Logistics
and Public Sector.
