Secularism even though is a foundation of capitalist ideology, it was formally arose in the

18th century out of a critical tug of war between clerics and thinkers as a means of a solution
through compromise without any convincing intellectual basis.

Secularism is compatible with the Western concept of God which maintains that after God
had created the world, He left it to look after itself. In this sense, God’s relationship with the
world is like that of a watchmaker with a watch: he makes it then leaves it to function without
any need for him.. There is no wonder that such a God leaves people to look after their own
affairs. How can He legislate for them when He is ignorant of their affairs? This concept is
totally different from that of Muslims.

This concept is inherited from Greek philosophy, especially that of Aristotle who argued
that God neither controls nor knows anything about this world. This is a helpless God as
described by Will Durant

Secularism may be accepted in a Christian society

Society may tell us that the two are connected, but Allah tells us they are not

In practical terms, when clerics account politicians, in haste manner politicians allege
clerics of foul play of mixing religion with politics, but when it comes for politicians using
religion to meet particular political agenda, that is never treated as wrong.

Furthermore, in spite of democratic politicians being aware that secularism is a western

concept that has nothing to do with Islam, yet they deliberately try to generalize all
religions to the similar platform, as separate from politics.

the status of secularism and its relation to Islam are clear. But the ignorance about the
Islamic truth is still dominating the Muslim's mind

. Most secular systems repeat slogans like "no religion in politics and no politics in religion"
or "religion is for Allah, and the state is for the people." Such sayings portray their view of
Islam as a religion to be practiced in the mosque only, and that it should not be allowed to
rule life outside the mosque.

Furthermore, they try to deceive people with democratic slogans like "personal freedom" and
"people governing people." That means that people come first and no place is made for the
ruling of Allah.

• Secularism separates religion from Politics and worldly affairs.

• Religion cannot interfere in worldly affairs and restricted to personal level.
Eg: Salah, Sawm, Hajj, Masjid, Marriage, etc..

Secularism is an foundation of capitalism ideology which separates Deen from State while
Democracy is its political system through which this manifests where Sovereignty &
Legislation belongs to the people and Deen is relegated to the personal sphere.
This is a CLEAR contradiction to the Islamic Aqeedah which states that sovereignty &
legislation (hukm) belongs to Allah Azza Wa Jal only.

Acceptance

For Muslim societies, Since Islam is a comprehensive system of`Ibadah(worship) and

Shari`ah(legislation), the acceptance of secularism means abandonment ofShari`ah, a
denial ம of the Divine guidance and a rejection of Allah’s injunctions.

It is a total falsification to claim that Shariah is not proper to the requirements of the present
age.

We Muslims believe that Allah, Glory be to Him, is the sole Creator and Sustainer of the
Worlds that His mercy and bounties encompass everyone and suffice for all. In that capacity,
Almighty Allah revealed His divine guidance to humanity, made certain things permissible
and others prohibited, commanded people observe His injunctions and to judge according
to them.

If they reject this guidance and follow their own whims and man-made laws, then they
commit transgression against Allah’s laws.‫ﭷ‬

[al-Baqarah 2:85]

Secularism is NOT the separation of religion from politics - it is the subservience of religion
to secular politics. மத சா ப ற அரசிய அ பணித .
Far from separating the two, it marries them together; allowing one to dominate and define
the other.

Secularism is to remove a key assumption from the bounds that humans are to live in, viz.
that humans are to serve God. In its place comes "humans are to serve themselves".

If our view and undertanding of Sura Al Fatiha is 'Secular' then the rest of our undertstanding
of the Quran will also be secular. The the word 'fatiha' means ópener', it is by which we enter
the rest of the Quran. So let's not enter the Quran through the door of 'Secularism'.

Absolutely! Look at how the shahadah starts.

1. There is nothing worthy of worship.

2. Except Allah.

3. Muhammad ‫( ﷺ‬may Allāh honour him and grant him peace) is the Messenger.

Step 1 is critical. We reject all other beliefs, ideas, isms, systems, ideologies, etc. and then
we declare our conviction in Allah.

Otherwise you risk superimposing those beliefs on to our interpretation of the Qur'an and
can end up justifying nationalism, individualism and legislation by other than what Allah has
revealed.

Do they seek a judgment of Ignorance? But, who, for a people whose faith is assured, can
give better judgment than Allah?"

Ibn Katheer said in the Tafseer of this verse that Allah is denouncing those who reject His
ruling and accept other rulings that are not based on the Shari`ah of Allah. Whoever does so
is indeed a non-believer. Indeed, belief in Allah can never go with the acceptance of other
than His rulings in one's heart. Allah says (S.5 A.44): "If any do fail to judge by what Allah
has revealed, they are non-believers."

In Islam there is no separation between politics and religion, since the human is a single
entity and he is inseparable. Furthermore, in Islam everyone has the right to participate in
politics, whether practically or to account politicians. Khalifah as a state leader has no right
whatsoever to stop anyone in accounting him or his aides.
This is why secularism is clear Kufr, this is why secular systems have no legality and
authority and should be rejected by Muslims.

Some muslims have intellectually objected atheism/secularism but didn't object capitalism
which is product of atheism/secularism

Asserting the correctness of Islam without refuting the falsehood someone holds, is not
doing dawah according to the sunnah of Muhammed ‫ ﷺ‬or any prophet before him for that
matter!

Exactly, this is the challenge. We need the Ummah to recognise Capitalism for what it is,
recognise that they are living under it (and not Islam in any way shape or form), to
intellectually reject it, and recognise and call for living under the Khilafah system.
