Introduction and Purpose

Enablon Chemical Management System (CMS) is a centralized database that tracks both pure chemicals and
mixtures. You can use the software to streamline your environmental regulatory reporting processes, generate
accurate compliance and sustainability reports, and improve purchasing efficiency and production scheduling.

This integrated system eliminates the need to maintain multiple databases and reduces the time required for manual
data entry.

Whether you need to track products at a single facility or across a global enterprise, Enablon CMS helps
environmental, health and safety managers streamline internal and regulatory compliance programs.

The Chemical Inventory functionality allows access to information about Materials held in storage at any given time. It
rolls up toxic inventory according to user-defined requirements, permitting Enterprise-Wide Benchmarking of similar
facilities. This increases the value of information your organization holds and dramatically reduces the time needed to
prepare reports for many local, regional or country-based jurisdictions.

CMS securely gathers, stores, and organizes the necessary data to ensure efficient hazardous product management,
including:

Products composition and properties

Inventory transactions and inventory estimates
SDS Information
Storage area information
Container storage properties and Container-level tracking (In combination with the Waste Management module)

CMS helps compliance with the main regulations such as:

Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) | US

Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA) Title III | US
Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals | UN
Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical Substances (REACH) | EU

With other Enablon applications (AQS, Waste & Water modules), CMS can aggregate air, water and waste release
information in order to provide regulatory report outputs in formats such as:

SARA 311
SARA 312 Tier II (electronic submittal using EPA's Tier2 Submit software)
SARA 313, TRI threshold determination
IUCLID 5 for REACH compliance which are not part of the CMS standard application.
