Practical Work 1: Use of Word Processor Duration: 1 Week

Practical Work Description


Outcomes: Upon completion of this session, students should be able to
 Use a word processor to create, manage, and retrieve word documents/files in a professional
manner and within a given period.

Objective:
The objective of this exercise is to learn how to effectively use Microsoft word to produce a word
document containing 1) sentences with formatted headings, 2) tables with proper title and column
headings, 3) drawings with proper labels, 4) equations or mathematical expressions, 5) automatic table of
contents, and 6) other general formatting and features such as font type, its size, alignment, use of tab,
indent and auto numbering system, and several commonly-used shortcut menus, etc.

5.0 Discussion of results


5.1 From Table 1, it was observed that at the time of 1.5 s, the distance traveled by
the 20-kg mass is farther than that of the 10-kg mass by 0.02 m.
