    What is Comprehension? Comprehension

    Reading comprehension is being able to understand a goal in reading!
    text as well as apply that knowledge to life.

    ❖ Compare books to film- If there’s a book your child likes or


    is interested in and if there’s a film about it compare to see if
    they both have the same story components.
    ❖ Create a comic book- After reading a book break down the
    books story components to create a comic book with your
    child!
    ❖ Online Activity – This is a free online activity that helps
    students with practicing the main idea of texts.
