The most difficult subject for me is English.

The grammar is different, the sounds are different, and the

pronounciation is different than in Burmese. It is also difficult to learn English, because we don’t often
speak English in our classrooms and at home. Usually we only memorize and repeat. So it’s difficult to
know how to use English in real life.

Firstly, the grammar is difficult and different than in Burmese. In Burmese, the verb is at the end of the
sentence, and the subject is in the beginning. But English people insert verbs wherever they want, and
the subject wherever they want. This makes making English sentences difficult. It also makes listening
difficult, because English sentences are like a salad with words, no oil added.

Secondly, the pronounciation in English is different than in Burmese. In Burmese we use normal
sounds. But English has very strange and difficult sounds, like the k sound or r sound. it takes a lot of
work to make these sounds, so I am very tired. On TV, I usually see English people sitting down or
sleeping a lot. They are also usually fat. I think they get tired saying difficult sounds, and need to rest
more.
Use all the letters in their words when speaking. But in Burmese, we use less of the letters. So it’s very
important in English to say every letter correctly. I think in English countries paper is very expensive,
so it’s important not to use sounds you don’t need. That’s why every sound is important to the meaning.

Lastly, speaking and listening to English is very difficult. Often when I hear English on TV, they speak
very quickly. I cannot understand what is happening, unless many people are fighting. The bad guys
always wear black, so it’s easy to understand. But usually I can only understand a few words. Even
though I know a few words, I don’t really know the meaning of what the person is saying.

But, I do like English. Even though it’s the most difficult subject, I also like it the best. My English
teachers are very kind and know many English words. In the future I also want to know how to speak
English very well to send secret messages to my friends.

English makes me very tired.

English people talk very quickly, and I can’t understand what they are saying
Writing and speaking English is difficult .. often tim

words, but don’t really understand the meaning.

The sounds in English words are different than in Burmese. There are letters in English we don’t have
in Burmese. Also, there are letters in Burmese that aren’t in English. For example, there is no ‘th’ sound
in Burmese.
Egnlish people say almost every letter in their words
