Upon clearing Customs and Immigration, you are met
by our tour guide and transferred to hotel, free time for
the rest of the day.

DAY 2 / BANGKOK, half-day sightseeing (B)
After breakfast, our tour guide will take you to explore
the Grand Palace and your choice of Wat Pho or Wat
Traimit. A visit to the Royal Grand Palace, the former
royal residence of the Chakri Kings, is a must. It is the
perfect example of an ancient Siamese court, as well
as a major landmark and popular tourist attraction.
Wat Phra Kaew (“Temple of the Emerald Buddha”) is
located right next to the Grand Palace, and together
they make a jaw dropping spectacle. The temple is
comprised of 100 brightly colored buildings, golden
spires and glittering mosaics, and dates back to 1782,
when Bangkok was founded. Photography is permitted
on Royal Palace Grounds and within the compounds of
the Emerald Buddha Temple, but not inside the build-
ings.
From the Grand Palace, you may choose to visit either
Wat Traimit, with its 5.5 ton Golden Buddha Image,
or the Reclining Buddha of Wat Pho. Wat Pho is also
regarded as the first centre of public education and is
sometimes called “Thailand’s first university.”
