Signat originates from the German manufacturer Autosound, since the early 1980’s experienced in the car audio seg-
ment. In 1992 Autosound first launched its A-brand with the name Signat. This is a derivation of the word ‘signature’,
which refers to the individual marks and qualities of each and every design. The rich history of the Signat brand features
many monumental highlights, like the phenomenal FLAG amplifier and its successors LOG, LAB and RAMbo amplifiers.
You’ll still find proofs of this state-of-the-art engineering in the contemporary models, like some outstanding, unique
technologies which drastically improve the sound quality.

But there’s more to Signat than just car audio amplifiers and loudspeakers. Just witness the ‘inSight’ multimedia
devices, the ‘Platinum’ connection program, the security product line and the elaborate catalogue of ‘Fits’ adapters and
interfaces. All of these products are closely related in order to create an optimum symbiosis. This goes to show that
Signat really composes its product range ‘for professionals’.

Balanced Input Circuitry (BIC)

All of the Signat Fury and ROM amplifiers benefit from the intelligent Balanced Input Circuitry. Normally, in an unbalanced
situation, any interference at the signal cable will equally be picked up by both conductors (plus and minus) and ampli-
fied, which causes a distorted sound. To prevent this, the Signat BIC circuitry in the preamplifier inverts the phase
of the minus (‘0’) conductor. Now the musical signal at both conductors remains the same, but any ripple in
the sine wave will be ‘cancelled out’ by this process.

Electronic Noise Suppression (ENS)

ENS - exclusively developed by Signat - is closely related to BIC. The common rejection
mode only works when the interference is exactly equal at both conductors. In practice
however this is seldom the case, and here ENS comes in handy. The precise fine-
tuning potentiometers allow for an extremely precise adjustment of the interference,
in order to make it exactly identical at both conductors. In this way it is much
easier for the differential BIC inputs to filter out the noise. ENS gives you the ability
for each channel to literally 'turn away' the noise in a time-saving and simple man-
ner. ENS is much more effective than other anti-noise devices like filters and capacitors. Even the
most annoying noise of all, the infamous alternator whine (in fact nothing else but another interference at
the cables), will disappear. The ENS circuit has specially been designed to minimize noises in combination with the
Signat Platinum triple shielded high-end RCA interlinks.

The ODC crew is renowned for its extravagant car
installs and customizations which appear at the
European MTV shows. In order to create another
xtreme caraudio demo-ride, the professionals from
ODC only wanted to use the best brand around for
this purpose, solely with products which would meet
their utmost high quality standards. So they decided
to ‘charge’ the extraordinary Dutch Golf GTR/T with
loads of exclusive ODC-Signat products.

Why should you use a power cap?

A power capacitor is a device which can help to ameliorate the sound quality of your system. Besides the optimisa-

losses. To maintain a maximum
performance of the amplifier you need a fast current delivery, coming from an
electrolytic capacitor with a very low internal resistance. In this way voltage
variations, which could damage the amplifier, are avoided. And the amplifier can
feed the loudspeakers with a maximum of power and control.

In the Signat Platinum program you’ll find some specially

conceived power capacitors for the Signat car audio range.
Each amplifier line is accompanied by a perfectly matching
power cap, which ideally maintains the current delivery
from the vehicle’s battery, accurately calibrated to the
amplifier’s power. In this way you’ll get the best per-
formance and quality from your Signat amplifiers!
