WORK EXPERIENCE
Product Engineering Co-op, Bilstein, Hamilton, OH January-April & August-December 2018
• Built vehicle test dampers and designed their fixtures in SolidWorks
• Helped manage DVP testing for piston rod manufacturer change; presented on test results
• Built nine complex prototype dampers, tested and used data to rebuild to uniform performance
• Assembled and disassembled into full struts for vehicle mounting, testing, and tuning
• Brought likely failure point to the attention of lead engineer and fixed the set in time to ship
• Managed project to produce fixturing for tube welding and valve stacking stations
• Designed, revised, quoted and ordered fixtures for tube welding and valve stack assembly
• Designed and created tooling for use in the prototype lab
Research Co-op, Cooperative Distributed Systems Lab, UC CEAS May – December 2019
• Created code for a process to save point-cloud data from camera to universal, permanent format
• Wrote code to combine open-source object detection with the visual feed of a Realsense D435 camera
• Designed and printed 3-D printed mounts for battery, processor, and camera
