Reflection (Based on Emotions and Moods)

The basic question of last week’s discussion was: “How stress effect on your moods and emotions at
your workplace as well as your social and personal life” Stress is one of the categories of emotions.
Different authors says different wording about stress someone define stress as “a reaction of a
particular individual to an incentive event”. “Stress is a ‘perception’ it is the demands that are imposed
upon us because there are too many alternatives”. So, defining the term stress and choosing a
definition of stress can be difficult even for those who are considered experts in the field of stress, stress
management and stress relief.

In last discussion we discuss about a twenty years old young boy who had a lot of fun in high school he
was a fairly good student, especially in math he worked harder than most of his friends also worked
summers for a local surveyor he was actually good in all other fields and also got married he just think all
difficulties could be handle easily in an easy way also after one year he have a baby.

When they have their first baby that was first moment when he start taking stress because that thing
was shocked for him because he don’t know about some flows regarding life because things look like
different in real life as we actually think. He didn’t manage his personal life as well as his professional life
both were too much disturb because he couldn’t take or manage his emotions and moods emotions are
intense feelings they are contagious emotions support your cognitive mind.

Emotions have six categories first happiness second sadness third fear fourth anger fifth surprise and
last one in disgusted. All these categories show that emotions and moods are closely connected and can
influence each other. Getting your dream car may generate the emotion of happiness, which can put
you in a good mood for several days. Similarly, if you’re in a good or bad mood, it might make you
experience a more intense positive or negative emotion than otherwise. In a bad mood, you might blow
up in response to a co-worker’s comment that would normally have generated only a mild reaction.

Currently I am working in material management department if I relate all things into my department the
management of department shows very negative role in all aspects that they create unnecessary stress
all the time to show their working and effectiveness however all these things can easily handle in easy
way to show some kind of motivation and support in difficult conditions once you give a little bit
motivation to your subordinates they put all their energy in work place to show your abilities and
effectiveness and whole working day they just work in a very happy mode.

Above all discussion is purely based on modes and emotions that shows emotion and moods relate to
each other emotions caused by specific event very brief in duration (seconds or minutes) usually
attended by different facial expressions action oriented in nature and moods cause is often general and
unclear last longer than emotions (hours or days) more general two main dimensions positive affect and
negative affect if you are in a jolly mood your response is positive and if your mood is bad your response
shows negative affect that are composed of multiple specific emotions generally not indicated by
different expressions cognitive in nature.
