Please bring the Admit Card to the examination center and valid School/College Identity card or any other valid
identity proof with the clear photograph, show the same to the invigilator on request. Students without the Admit
Card and valid Identity card will NOT be permitted to appear for the aptitude test. Please note that expenses towards
travel, boarding and lodging will NOT be reimbursed by KVPY for attending the Aptitude Test.
1. You are advised to reach the examination center at least an hour before the commencement of the test.

2. The room number in which the test will be conducted will be displayed at each center.

3. You are NOT permitted to carry calculators or any electronic devices. Virtual calculators will be available on the
computer screen.

4. Carrying/use of any electronic items such as mobile phone, I-pod, portable hard disc, pen drive, data card, pagers
etc. inside the examination hall is strictly prohibited, there is no provision for their safe custody at the test centers.

5. Candidates are not allowed to leave test center before 3:30 PM (i.e. 90 minutes after the exam starts).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR APTITUDE TEST

1. The question paper consists of two parts (both contain only multiple choice questions) for total of 100 marks. There
will be four sections in Part I (each containing 20 questions) and four sections in Part II (each containing 10
questions). Answer any THREE of the four subjects in Part I, and any TWO of the four subjects in Part II.

2. The composition of the question paper is given in the table below

3. There is negative marking for wrong answer. Unanswered questions will not be evaluated and will not be penalized
as a wrong answer.

4. In Part I each correct answer gets 1 mark and for each incorrect answer 0.25 mark will be deducted. In Part II each
correct answer gets 2 marks and for each incorrect answer 0.5 mark will be deducted.

5. The examination will be computer based test. Candidates are advised to go through the mock test which is available
at the KVPY website.
