Section One: Printer Requirements Scenario

To complete this section use the scenario below to create a proposal for printer requirements.

You have been recently been hired by a local school board. The school board is in the midst of
reorganizing its approach to printing documentation in the classroom, administrative offices, and head
office. While your colleague investigates the notion of e-paper, tablets, and virtual desktops you have
been asked to provide a price comparison between laser and inkjet print devices.

You have been supplied with the following information:

 The head office will require three print devices and these have to support a duty cycle (minimum
amount of printed pages) of at least 5,000 pages per month.
 The schools will require 60 print devices. 40 of these devices will be located in a variety of
classrooms and will have a duty cycle of approximately 1,000 pages per month. The remaining 20
print devices will reside in the administrative offices and will have a minimum duty cycle of
5,000 pages per month.

You have been tasked with providing the following:

 A cost breakout for the required devices.
 An indication of which devices should be purchase: laser or ink jet.
 An indication of the monthly consumption cost for

I have opted the for HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M476nw. I would recommend this printer due to
various option available its is all one in printer with scanner, copier, printing with high level office
purpose. As per main requirement it can meet standard of 5000 pages duty cycle per month, the
main advantage it can have maximum duty cycle of 50,000 pages per month but experts
recommend 5000 pages duty cycle. The scanner has in built automatic document feeder can scan
both sides of document simultaneously. An automatic duplexer option can able to make the printer
on both sides. It has 300 sheets standard sheet capacity can be extended up to 800 pages by
additional tray. It comes abundance wired and wireless connection option, it has enabled with
Apple air print, hp print and mobile print option. One of key feature of this printer high quality
output with good speed, according to expert reviewer’s performance result comes with printer can
able to print 21 pages within one minute. I have also mentioned about detailed product
specification below.
