Installation procedure for WCS clients
1. Log in to the client PC with Administrator rights
2. Check if C:/dematic/wms034 folder exists
3. Rename C:/dematic/wms034 to c:/dematic/wms034.old
4. Create a new folder c:/dematic/wms034
5. Copy into this new wms034 folder two files from the prepared pcexport share folder
from the new server:
jdk-8u202-windows-x64.exe
client_install.cmd
6. Verify with command line that the current Java version is 1.8.0.202.
7. If not the latest than install the latest java 8 running the jdk-8u202-windows-x64.exe.
Install jdk and jre too with the default settings (Click next, next, finish everywhere).
8. Open a command prompt with cmd command.
9. Run these commands from there:
cd C:/dematic/wms034
Run client_install.cmd
10. Create JAVA_HOME system variable and add the %JAVA_HOME%\bin to beginning of
the path variable
Click on Control Panel\System and Security\System/Advanced system
settings/Environment variables
Create new system variable JAVA_HOME= C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_202
Edit system variable Path
Add the %JAVA_HOME%\bin to the 1st place

11. Verfy if the latest java 8 is available in the system:
12. Start the client software as usual (ie. Go to “Gucci,WCS” folder and click on rungui)
13. Log in with your WCS user and and run a dialogue which can get data from the server,
for example service/system/System logs
14. Disable java update
Run Task Manager (taskmgr Start menu command)
On Startup tab disable Java Update Scheduler
Run from start menu Configure Java (All programs / Java / Configure Java)
On Update tab disable “Check for updates automatically”
On the appearing popup click on “Do not check”
Click “Apply” and “OK”
