TITLE:
“The Effect of Temperature of the Water on
how fast a piece of paper becomes wet”

HYPOTHESIS:
If the water is hot then the paper will becomes
wet faster because of the temperature of the
water.
MATERIALS:
- Plastic cups
- Hot Water
- Cold Water
- Normal Water
- Piece of paper

PROCEDURES:
- Prepare and ready the materials
- Put a same amount of hot, cold and normal
water on three different cups
- Put a piece of paper with same size on it, at
the same time
- Observe what will happen
- Record the data and finish your work
EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN:
VARIABLES:
Independent Variable – water temperature
Dependent Variable - how fast a paper becomes wet
Constant Variable – amount of water, size of the
cups, size of the paper
Control Variable – the cup that has a normal
temperature of water

CONCLUSION:
Based on our observation a piece of paper become
wet faster when it was put in a glass of hot water
with 50°C rather than when it was put in a glass
of cold water with 1°C with the same amount of
water. (660ml)
