Maintenance Worker
Purpose of the Role:

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. The Maintenance worker will preform the
various duties and responsibilities required from the Maintenance Supervisor to properly maintain
and repair the variety of equipment on site.
Functions

1. Repair, maintain, install, all equipment involved in surface operations.

2. Carry out all required maintenance operations required to keep equipment, plants etc.
running optimally
3. Execute all maintenance tasks on site
4. Conduct all required inspections on plants and equipment.
5. Work with and lead apprentices and helpers.
6. Report any equipment repair needs, any material requirements, and any other
maintenance requirements to keep production operating.

7. Works with Supervisors to put together any tool lists, material and parts requirements.

8. Assist production crews in required inspections

9. Report all accidents, incidents and near-misses involving his or her crew, and takes
corrective actions for immediate, longer term and permanent remediation;

10. Follow all company health and safety procedures and plans.

11. Maintain the necessary tools and materials for the execution of work.
12. Ensure department’s compliance with the requirement of Government of Ecuador,
shareholders’ environmental, health and Safety legislation and company regulations.

Scope of the Responsibility and Complexity:

Demonstrate a high leadership potential to lead all workers safely, efficiently, and respectfully.
Execute and manage all tasks associated with the repairs and maintenance of surface operations.

Integrated Occupational Safety and Health Responsibilities:

 Employees must comply with National and health and safety regulations, company policies
and procedures and the company's environmental compliance policy. Employees will
perform other duties as directed and needed by the company to ensure optimal safe
operation
 Must wear personal protective equipment including steel toe shoes, long sleeves, and any
other equipment to perform duties safely as determined by the Health and Safety plan.
 Operate a light vehicle including a pre-operational inspection, for the purpose of accessing
various locations of the underground mine for inspections, planning and job supervision.
 Walk on rough, uneven, wet terrain, and climb ladders.

 Wear personal protective equipment such as respirators in dusty environments and fall
arrest equipment when accessing equipment or working at height.

Minimum Profile required:

Academic

 Technical training or Post Secondary education required

Experience

 3 years of experience in Automotive Maintenance

 Mining & concrete experience an asset
 Working knowledge of equipment, materials and tools used in the industry.
 Knowledge of relevant codes, standards and regulations.
 Good PC skills and computer literacy.
 Excellent Language Skill both written and oral.
 English language skills is an asset
