As I look to my future filled with applications to various scholarships and colleges, I have come
to realize the importance of a recommendation letter. Your valued opinion of who I am as a
person will only improve my chances of being awarded these scholarships and acceptance into
the organizations I apply to.

I currently have a class entitled “Contemporary English,” and we are working on searching for
and completing scholarship and college applications. Therefore, I would like to be prepared
when I apply to my preferred colleges. If possible, would you please write a letter of
recommendation preferably by the first of November. Writing this letter addressed to any
scholarship or organization will allow me the opportunity to complete several applications. I
