This is an excellent essay. The candidate shows a sophisticated

understanding of the demands of the title and produces an
accomplished response. The candidate has supported their
argument using examples that are approached in a rather
refreshing manner.

The essay is very well structured and a compelling argument is

very easy to follow. The candidate does not quite make it clear
what counts as a fact across areas of knowledge, and expresses
Popper's view on falsifiability rather clumsily, but these
shortcomings are not on their own sufficient for the removal of
marks.

Hence this is a good example of an essay that deserves full marks

(without being perfect in every respect) using the global impression
marking instrument.
