LETTER OF INVITATION FOR CAMPAUS PLACEMENT PROGRAM

It is indeed with great pleasure, we cordially invite your esteemed organization to participate
in our campus placement program to consider students graduating in June/July 2019. Bapuji
Institute of Engineering & Technology (BIET) has been in the forefront imparting high quality
technical education and is one among the top ten colleges in the state of Karnataka. State of
the art infrastructure in all branches of engineering, dedicated and qualified staff, highly
conducive environment for teaching-learning process and a lush green campus are the
hallmarks of this professionally managed institution. BIET offers TEN undergraduate programs
and five post graduate programs. The institute is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological
University (VTU), Belgaum, and Thirteen departments have been recognized as Research
Centers by VTU and are offering Doctoral programs.
The institute is recognised with A grade by National Assessment and Accreditation
Council [NAAC].The institute is also recognized by Institution of Engineers (India), Kolkata.
Ten undergraduate programs and one post graduate program have been accredited by the
National board of Accreditation, New Delhi.
The form of education we need today is not just to create an informed set of individuals;
instead develop individuals- with character, commitment, conviction, courtesy and courage,
who are cultured, who can shoulder the responsibility of taking the nation forward and making
it stronger than ever before. A true broad based education prepares students for life, without
losing their areas of specialization and competence. BIET has understood the importance of
broad based education and has created a conducive environment for the students to blossom
into complete individuals. BIET believes in inculcating right attitude in the minds of young
students and develop them as individuals who have the innate desire not just to succeed in
their own lives but also to contribute meaningfully to societal development in all possible
spheres.
BIET has an Industry-Institute Partnership Cell striving hard to bridge the gap between
Industries & Institute, to foster effective interaction between Industry and Institute to impart
meaningful education and to promote industrial consultancy & entrepreneurship. Many of the
faculty members have R&D projects sponsored by leading National and International agencies.
Quite a number of faculty members are active industrial consultants and are engaged in
development of software, processes, prototypes, and products.
BIET has collaboration with National River Conservation Directorate NRDC), Swiss
Development Cooperation (SDC), The Energy Research Institute of India (TERI), WIPRO,
Karnataka Rural Development Engineering Department, BAIF Institute for Rural Development
and many other organizations. BIET also has Memorandum of Understanding with Oklahoma
State University-USA, Infosys, IBM and other organizations.
The Project work in the curriculum of the academic programme at the degree level is a
major element in which the students use their previously learnt engineering skills, develop new
skills and abilities. In BIET, emphasis is on carrying out projects related to industries with
student interaction. BIET has been recognized as ‘Best of College of the Year’ six times in the
annual students’ project exhibition conducted by Karnataka State Council for Science and
Technology (KSCST), Bangalore. Every year, KSCST sponsors a number of student projects
n BIET. The alumni of this institute occupy very good positions in business, industry, R&D and
academia in India and abroad. The Institute has consistently produced outstanding engineers
who have excelled in their career and occupied responsible position in some of the best known
enterprises in India and across the globe.
The Training & Placement Cell of our institution plays a pivotal role in counselling and
guiding the students for their successful career placement which is a crucial interface between
the stages of completion of academic program of the students and their entry into the suitable
employment. In addition to campus placements, the Training and Placement Cell organizes
Professional Development programs like mock interviews, group discussions, pre-placement
talks, interactive sessions with industrial experts, case studies etc. and Personality
Development programs covering communication skills, presentation skills, career planning
etc., on a regular basis to enable the students to acquire the necessary traits to become
saleable to industries. Many reputed national and multinational companies visit our institution
for campus recruitment annually because of our high quality research, excellent facilities and
talented students. On an average, 75 to 80% of eligible students are placed in last 3 years.

your recruitment efforts. The Training & Placement Cell provides all audio visual facilities for
presentations, conferences, written test, group discussion and personal interviews. After
confirmation by the company, a pre-placement talk and interview can be arranged on a
mutually convenient date. Online tests for the candidates, the arrangements is made in the
computer centre on prior intimation. Up to 100 students can take up the online test at a time.
