TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

100 GENERAL CONDITIONS

100.1 The work herein specified shall be done in accordance with the
accompanying plans and specifications. It is also understood that
all works covered in this sub-project shall be executed in the form
of workmanship and quality of materials.

100.2 The drawings and specifications are intended to explain anything


shown and specified. The implementer shall be responsible to
check all the numbers and units as may be indicated on the
specifications and drawings and shall therefore, install the required
units as called for.

100.3 No changes in the drawings or specifications shall be done by the


implementer without prior approval of the owner. In case of
discrepancies of figures on the drawings, the matter shall be
referred to the Technical Working Group (TWG).

205 The contractor shall be responsible for proper disposal of the debris
/ garbage of the project.

206 All salvages materials shall be placed in designated area identified


by project coordinator.

300 CONCRETE AND MASONRY

301 All concrete works shall be done in accordance with the standard
specifications for the concrete materials as adopted and the
following proportion shall be used:
Class A (1:2:4) for columns and roof beams
Class B (1:2½:5) for column and wall footings, slab on fill
and other structures not specified
Mortar (1:4) for CHB filler
(1:3) for cement plaster

302 Concrete Hollow Block (CHB) as indicated in the drawing shall be


locally made with a compressive strength of not less than 300psi
and a unit weight of 80lbs/cuft. The blocks shall be wetted
thoroughly with water prior to laying. It shall be laid with a
reinforcement of 10mm dia reinforcing bars spaced at 600mm on
center both horizontal and vertical directions. The cells containing
the reinforcement shall be filled with mortar of 1:4 mixture.
