We are hiring for the position of "Patent Analyst", where the selected
candidate will work in our Intellectual Property Rights (Engineering) Team.
Job location: New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai.
WORK PROFILE AT L&S:
1. You will have to work with highly technical subject matter and hence
should be able to read, research and understand technical subjects of any
domain, especially in Computer Science, Electronics, Communication and
Mechanical fields.
2. You will also have to understand client requirements, scope of work and
apply patent law to prepare deliverables using specific requirements. The
processes you will be exposed to will include:
Assisting clients in preparing first invention disclosure document(s).
Understanding the invention in a meeting with inventors and capturing
necessary details required to write an invention disclosure in the meeting.

Step 08: Offer letters/letter of intent (LOI) of
hiring/selecting the candidate will be issued subsequently.
Drafting of Provisional and Complete Specification of various computer,
electronics, communication and mechanical inventions.
Handling procedural aspects of filing and prosecution of a patent application
and ensuring that all required documents, forms, etc. are filed.
Prosecuting domestic and foreign (PCT, Convention) patent applications,
providing reply to examiners regarding novelty and inventive step issues, and
suggesting a strategy to overcome substantive and procedural rejections
received from any patent office in accordance with their specific
requirements.
Communicating with the client including receiving new cases, notifying the
client about progress in/ completion of a case, sending documents and
updates to the clients in a timely manner.
Performing prior art analysis of invention disclosures received from clients
Performing Patent analytics which includes Patent Landscaping, Claim
Mapping, Freedom to operate searches (FTO), Invalidity, Enforceability
searches.
TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH L&S YOU SHOULD:
Be an Engineering Graduate (B.E. / B.Tech) from 2020 passing out batch from
CS, IT, ECE, EEE, ETC, Mechanical streams.
Have scored 70% and above marks in Xth, XIIth/Diploma & Graduation.
Strong subject/domain knowledge. Technically sound, well-versed with the
subjects taught during graduation.
Have the aptitude to understand technology & the ability of deductive
reasoning.
Have a command over English language with excellent articulation skills.
Number of vacancies: Limited. Hiring will strictly depend on the quality of the
candidates fulfilling our recruitment parameters.
CTC: INR 4.20 Lacs. Will also be eligible for Group Mediclaim Insurance worth
Rs 2 lakhs for self. Probation period: Six (6) months.

Joining:
Option 01: Immediate. Candidates who can join immediately will be taken as
Trainee for initial six months while they are in their final semester. A stipend
of Rs 20k per month will be paid during traineeship. Post completion of B.Tech
degree and successfully passing, the above designation of Patent Analyst and
CTC of Rs 4.2 lakhs will apply.
Option 2: Post completion of B.Tech degree and successfully passing
(Tentatively in Jun/Jul'2020)
