 ASH WEDNESDAY
signals the beginning of Lent
The ashes that we receive
are a reminder
of our own sinfulness.
 ASH WEDNESDAY
is a day of fasting..pag-aayuno
and abstinence (pangilin).
Those who are 18 yrs old
and under 60 yrs old are required
to fast. We can eat only one
complete meal and two smaller ones
during the day, with no food
in between. (Canon 1252).
Catholics who are over 14 years old
are required to refrain from eating
any meat, or any food made
with meat, on Ash Wednesday.
 No singing
of ALLELUIA
and GLORIA
until Easter Sunday.
