Recommendation Letter for Cezar Batran

I am pleased to write to you on behalf of Cezar Batran, that I have known from two years,
when he has been enrolled to three of my courses at the the Forestry High School.
Having kept in touch with Cezar Batran in the intervening years, I am confident in
my knowledge of him. On the more subjective evaluation components, Cezar Batran
ratings were very good. Scores on these evaluations tend to run high, but he was one of
the students supervised to receive the maximum score. Cezar was one of the most
dedicated of my students. He always came prepared to lab, asked good questions, and
frequently volunteered to present his work. It was evident that he put a great deal of effort
and time into learning the courses. He was one of the hardest working students and would
often emailed me with questions. His lab group benefited immensely from his inquisitive
style. He also made a concerted effort to synthesize information outside of class. On a
number of occasions he brought additional material to the attention of the instructor and
students, and shared relevant and interesting ways to incorporate his holistic thinking into
the technical areas. He would make an intelligent, energetic and hard-working addition to
any program of study due to his spiritual and deep religious views.
He has had substantial exposure to the "practical" aspects of any domain and he is
extremely well prepared to fulfill his proposed project.
Cezar is an independent self-starter. While he has no trouble working in groups,
or interacting with others, he can also work well on his own. Furthermore, he is mature
and personable.
I would expect Cezar Batran to bring these same qualities of character, wherever
he goes. That is, an openness to new places, peoples, cultures and customs; a keen
intelligence, with which to analyze and order his experience; irrepressible curiosity; and
an unusual ability for dealing with people of all ages and conditions. Those qualities,
combined with his toughness of character, will enable him to understand and empathize
with others while never losing touch with who he is.
I would expect him to perform well in a wide range of environments. In fact, his
personality and skills should place him high on any list of good "representatives" for the
Romanian students.
I feel he would be a good candidate for your university.
I hope that you will consider his application strongly.
Your sincerely, Corina Popovici, teacher of wood processing technology
