LESSON PLAN IN SCIENCE III

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson the learners should be able to:
a. Identify the basic kinds of clouds
b. draw and describe the basic types of clouds
c. show a four-day observation of the clouds in the locality

II. SUBJECT MATTER


The types of Clouds
Reference: Science ( Teacher’s Guide ) pg. 183-185
Science ( Kagamitan nang mag-aaral ) pg. 148-152
Materials: Pictures of clouds, Chart, crayons and bond paper

III. PROCEDURES
A. Preliminary activities
1. Prayer
2. Checking of attendance
3. Drill
- The teacher will ask the following questions.
What are the kinds of weather?
Sunny day, Rainy day, Windy day and cloudy day.
4. Review
- What is the weather yesterday?
- Is the sun shining bright?

5. Motivation
- Okay class, can you see the clouds?
What did you observe the clouds?
B. LESSON PROPER
1. Activity
- The teacher will call a learner to illustrate the clouds
yesterday and a learner for today’s clouds.
- After they illustrate let the the learners compare, what is the
difference between the two clouds.
2. ANALYSIS
Say: What is our lesson for today?
The teacher will post the pictures of basic clouds.
Clouds is a large collection of very tiny droplets of water or ice
cystals.
There are 3 basic kinds of clouds
1. Stratus clouds are low, flat, gray clouds that look like sheets
covering the sky. They are the closest clouds to the ground.
They form as low as surface level (fog) to about 6, 500 feet
above the groud. They can produce rain, drizzel, snow, or
mist.
2. Cumulus clouds are puffy and white-like cotton balls. They
form 2,000 to 20, 000 feet above the ground and sometimes
thry grow very large and becomes thunderheads.
3. Cirrus clouds are thin, curly, wispy clouds. They are
sometimes reffered to as mares’ tails. They form between
25, 000 to 40, 000 feet above the groud. They are so high in
the atmosphere that the water droplets freeze into ice
crystals.
- After introducing the clouds the teacher will call learners to
discribe and identify the kinds of clouds.
3. ABSTRACTION
- What are the kinds of the clouds?
- Who can discribe the stratus? The Cumulus? How about the
Cirrus?
- What did you observe the clouds today?
- What kind of clouds for today?
4. APPLICATION
- The teacher will divide the class into 3 groups and each
groups has a task to answer.
Direction: Identify what kind of clouds do you observe in
picture.
IV. EVALUATION
The teacher will provide bond papers for the learners.
Let the learners Illustrate a CHART.
