In celebration of the Mega Cebu Month this month of September and as a prelude to National Teacher's Month celebrated every October, the Coalition for Better Education (CBE), in partnership with the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc (RAFI) and Mega Cebu, is organizing a talent competition dubbed "Teacher Got Talent 2018: Your Face Sounds Familiar!” This competition seeks to showcase the skills and talents of our Filipino teachers, who have, time and again, displayed genuine commitment and passion for teaching and learning, On this occasion, we salute our teachers by giving them the opportunity to shine and be applauded for their enviable prowess as performers. The talent competition is open to public school teachers from the Divisions of Cebu City, Talsay City, Carcar City, City of Naga, Danao City, Lapulapu City, Mandaue City and the following Municipalities in Cebu Province Division comprising the Mega Cebu areas Cordova, Minglanilla, San Fernando, Liloan, Consolacion, and Compostela, ‘As with previous Mega Cebu and National Teacher's Month celebrations, we seek DepEd-Lapu:lapu City Division's support to the “Teacher Got Talent 2018: Your Face Sounds Familiar” by sending one (7) contestant to the competition. Hereunder are the mechanics: GENERAL GUIDELINES: 1. The contest is open to all public school teachers from the following divisions: Cebu City, Talisay City, Carcar City, City of Naga, Danao City, Lapulapu City, Mandave City and the following Municipalities in Cebu Province Division comprising the Mega Cebu areas: Cordova, Minglanilla, San Fernando, Liloan, Consolacion, Compostela; 2. Only one contestant from each division and in the case of Cebu Province Division, one contestant {rom each municipality, shall be fielded. Selection of the anist to be imitated by the teacher will be done during the orientation. Failure to attend the orientation means automatic disqualification to the contest. CONTEST MECHANICS: 6 The artist picked by the contestant should be the one performed or imitated regardless of gender; 7. There shalLbe no exchanging of selected artists between contestants; 8 Contestants wil pick in random the order af presentation, 9, Each presentation should last for a maximum of four (4) minutes only, including set-up, (One (1) point will be deducted from the total score far every minute or fraction thereaf in excess of the time alloted. 10, Presentations should be wholesome and entertaining, The contestant may bring props and a maximum number of three (3) back-up singers/dancers. 11, Contestants will be judged based on the following enter: Talent/Skils 30% Creativity Stage Presence 30% Theme/Make-up/Costume 20% Audience Impact 20% Total 100% 12.
