How much time do you have to live with your parents?

Your parents did not bring you into this world so that they could spend the rest of their lives paying for
your existence. They married each other, not YOU, and they had plans, dreams, and wishes that didn’t include
YOU.

Your parents loved you, raised you, taught you, care for you, and paid for everything you ever received
in life: your home, food, clothing, toys, medical attention, dentistry, education, transportation, entertainment,
travels, everything! They rightfully believed that one day, you would move out into the world, and ( although
they denied it ) they looked forward to the peace & quiet, having the house to themselves, and having the extra
money to do a few extra things that they have always wanted to do, but never could afford. With you on your
own, they could now spend a night together again dancing, or on private holiday.

You’ve been lucky, you’ve had a wonderful childhood. Your mom has fixed your meals & done your
laundry & dad has fixed stuff you broke, and been your private ATM when you needed money. They asked you
for very little: Clean your room ( which you didn’t do very well ) and do your Homework ( and we both know
how that went, don’t we? Still when you wanted a cell phone or the latest music gadget, somehow “Santa”
always came through for you.

Now, you’ve graduated high school, and you don’t know what to do… so you guess you’ll “Just live at
home with mom & dad, because life is hard!”

That’s exactly WRONG! It is NOW that it is YOUR turn to go out and show your parents what kind of an
“Adult” they raised. It’s time to show them some respect appreciation, and honor all that they have already
done to make you who you are! Of course you will make mistakes, we all do. They did. But they didn’t quit
trying, they faced their fears, their needs, and their troubles, and they worked out their problems. …and you will
too. Not by sitting in your dad’s home making them support your lazy, butt, by going out and making something
of yourself that they will be proud of. YOU are not a child anymore. ( How many times have you said it
yourself? “Stop treating me like a child!” ..OK so..get out in the world, make something of yourself. It’s YOUR
responsibility, it’s YOUR Future, it starts right NOW! If you expect to be treated like an adult, if you want
respect, and a job that means something, …go get it. Your parent’s job is Done.
