In today’s higher education scenario, where the number of college options is increasing as dramatically as the
competition for them, confusion over one’s college choices is only natural. Our counseling services are
designed to throw light on the complex and intimidating U.S. college admission process, providing step-by-
step guidance, through a coordinated series of personalized counseling sessions, for a perfect application
that maximizes our students’ desirability as potential candidates for the college of their choice.

The details of our services can be broken down as follows:

1. Academic profile and extracurricular activity assessment / Academic course selection


and planning
 Understand the admission criteria
 Evaluate the applicant and his standing based on these criteria
 Prepare a detailed plan of action for the complete U.S. admission process

2. Extracurricular, community service, and summer opportunity recommendations


3. Standardized testing strategy (which test to take, suggested dates for test taking, retaking
tests, etc.)

 Select appropriate SAT I, SAT II, ACT,AP & TOEFL dates;


 Guide student in selection of SAT II subjects to maximize his/her strengths and meet college
requirements

4. Recommendation strategies
 Ascertain who the internal and external referees should be and to discuss the broad LORs.

5. Creation of resume to highlight personal strengths and experiences


 Guide, plan and motivate the student to build up a strong resume
 Provide a template for an effective resume
 Review the resume to showcase the student's strengths, achievements, qualities and abilities

6. College information and planning / Creation and/or review of college list


 Research and compile a list of institutions most suited to a student's interests, qualification and
financial needs
 Discuss and finalize Early Action / Early Decision possibility

7. Comprehensive college admissions applications and essay assistance


 Guide students through completing all relevant online / offline application material /
supplementary material

 Detailed queries for filling up the various applications.
 Prepare a time-table for completing the applications with milestones and deadlines
 Discuss what colleges are looking for in the essays and personal statements
 Brainstorm topics, inputs and approaches for each college essay / personal statement
 Prepare a timeline for essay submission
 Review final draft essays

An additional service is provided for comprehensive editing, revising and polishing of essays and the personal
statement, at an extra cost, with an expert who is in house. After first drafts are written by the student, this
expert will provide feedback. Subsequent editing and polishing of all subsequent drafts will go through this
expert. Once all final drafts are ready, these will be compiled and reviewed in a single face-to-face session
with us. We will not review interim drafts.

The fees for this service are payable directly to the expert. Details of the expert associated with us can be provided and
you may approach them directly to understand their terms of engagement.

8. Scholarship search strategies / Scholarship application and essay assistance / Explain the
financial aid process
 Offer advice for completing Financial Undertaking Forms and Bank Certification and to provide
various templates.

 To provide guidelines for applying for financial aid, where applicable

9. Provide support with college selection, enrollment, and registration


 Provide guidance on follow up with colleges after applications are submitted
 Offer tips to enhance chances of admission;
 Offer tips and preparation for interviews with alumni/admission officers
 Conduct mock interviews
 Help with university selection based on the admissions obtained;
 Assist in strategizing to increase wait-list chances, if any;
 Outline next steps to be undertaken including paying the deposit and housing selection; briefing
on college life and academics
 Any general help with regard to applying for I-20 & VISA.

supported AT ALL TIMES.
