I. Welcome and meeting, introduced Tim Schmitt, Newton
County CTAE director.
Introductions/Refreshments
Vision: High quality instruction, Leadership,
employability skills, building relationships
II. Administration Welcome with community through externships, job
shadowing, partnerships that benefit both
the community and the schools.
III. FBLA Student Presentation FBLA students gave a presentation
highlighting chapter activities and benefits
of membership.
IV. Purpose of Advisory
Teachers, counselors introduced
Committee
themselves and their pathways.

Newton County SS Alumni introduced


V. CTAE Program Vision themselves and explained how skills they
learned in the business and IT classes have
benefited them.
VI. Overview of Business and Community members introduced
Computer Science programs- themselves and gave input about skills
Business and Technology, Web needed in the workforce, what types of
Design, Computer Science, needs they see in the future.
Programming.
