Pedagogy
The objective for this lesson is for students to be able to
identify different shapes, and to arrange them within the
picture plane to create images. The teacher will introduce to
them common shapes and show them different things that
they see every day that contain different shapes. The
teacher will then pull up the IWB activity and allow several
students to come up and drag the shapes onto the picture
plan to creat3e tangrams. This activity will be a Segway
onto their next project. Using construction paper, pre-cut
shapes, and glue sticks, the students will create their own
tangram pictures.They will be evaluated on how well they
follow directions, grasp the lesson, and completion.
