Thats JFK, president of the United States, sent a man to the moon, but have you heard about

the story of
the man who helped JKF to make things possible?

During a visit to the NASA space center in 1962, President John F. Kennedy noticed a janitor carrying a
broom. He interrupted his tour, walked over to the man and said, "Hi, I'm Jack Kennedy. What are you
doing?"

the janitor responded "Well, Mr. President,", "I'm helping put a man on the moon." The president was in
awe.

In the Video, JFK sets a good example of motivation by giving a vision that inspires all the American
people. A goal which is to send a man to the moon. If we all understand the vision of our organization well
enough, it gives us a sense of purpose and appreciation of our work thus will lead to our happiness as
employees in the workplace.

A story of JFK and the janitor might give us a idea to ponder.

Take a moment, and reflect on this idea. The janitor knew something that most of us struggle with, the
purpose of his work. He kept the building clean so that the scientists, engineers, and astronauts could
focus on their mission of putting “man on the moon”. They did not have to worry about spending their
time on trashcans, bathrooms, or

hallways. He did that for them. He saw where his contribution fit in the organization. He connected his
purpose with theirs.

To most people, this janitor was just cleaning the building. But in the more mythic, larger story unfolding
around him, he was helping to make history.

Here's the point: No matter how large or small your role is, YOU are contributing to the larger story
unfolding within your life, your business and to your organization.

And when your entire team embraces that type of attitude and belief system, incredible things happen.
