A. Name of Project : Strategic Intervention Material (SIM) Entitled “The Amazing

Nutrient Processing Center of the Human Body”

Subject and Grade Level: Science IV

Project Proponent : Marites B. Lemu

Position : Master Teacher II

School : Ilagan South Central

B. Rationale : The amazing fact about the role of the human digestive system
and on how foods taken in are changed into nutrients is
hardly understood by school children by just using their
imagination or by just listening to the teacher’s discussion. It needs
therefore some other way, which will ignite the interest of the pupils to
learn the said topic, thus this intervention was conceptualized.

This intervention was made to turn teaching and learning into fun
and will create enjoyment to pupils as they learn the topic. This will
include games, puzzles and even challenges that will tickle the creative
minds of the pupils.

This material therefore is expected to address one of the least

mastered competency in Science 4.

D. Objectives : 1. Provide a learning experience to pupils which is more fun

and enjoyable.
2. To increase the level of understanding and mastery of the
pupils specially about the topic in the human digestive system.
3. To provide additional learning material.
