Jillybeenies Crown Headband - Crochet

Baby/Toddler, Adult sizes

Skill Level: Easy

Finished Size – Baby/Toddler 16”; Adult 19” They stretch out 2-3”

Materials
Worsted weight yarn
Size I (5.5 mm) hook for Baby/Toddler; J (6.0 mm) crochet hook for Adult

Gauge
I (5.5 mm) hook 4 sc = 1 “ J (6.0 mm) hook 3 sc = 1”

Special Stitches:
Picot st: Ch 4, insert hook into 4th ch from hook, pull through 2 loops

Instructions
Baby/Toddler (Adult)

Chain 54 (63), connect w/ sl st to first chain.

Round 1: Ch 1, sc in each chain, sl to 1st sc. 54 (63) st

Round 2: Ch 2, dc in each st, sl st to 1st dc. 54 (63) st

Round 3: Ch 1, *4 sc, ch 2, sk 1, sc, ch 2, sk 1, sc, ch 2, sk 1* repeat around, sl st to 1st sc.

Round 4: *Ch 5, sk 4, sc in ch 2 sp, ch 2, sc in ch 2 sp, ch 2, sc in ch 2 sp* repeat around (do not


sl st to 1st st as previous rounds).

Round 5: Sl st into ch 5 space, (ch 3, 3 dc, 1 picot, 4 dc) in ch 5 space, *sc in ch 2 sp, ch 3, sc in
ch 2 sp, (4dc, 1 picot, 4 dc) in ch 5 space* around, sc in ch 2 sp, ch 3, sc in ch 2 sp. Sl st into top
of 1st ch 3. Bind off and weave in end.

If desired, using fabric glue, attach pearl beads in center of each peak. Allow to set for 24 hrs.
